"Stoney" came to us by way of a very kind-hearted lady from west Texas.  He was dumped out in the middle of nowhere and left to die.  A dog lover happened upon him and couldn't leave him alone, so she contacted Nana's.  As usual, Nana's was full, but the kind-hearted lady was willing to have the dog vetted, and boarded until we had space for him at Nana's.  This unfortunate boy was not only skinny, but had heartworms.  Unbelievably the lady also agreed to pay to have him treated for the HW's!  WOW!  

Stoney arrived at Nana's in December 2014, skinny, sad, unsure of what was happening to him or what, if any, future he had.  Well, as all of Nana's dogs know, he had just won the doggie jackpot!  

Just take a look at this boy now!  Six months at Nana's, Stoney has become a very energetic, happy, outgoing, hunk-a-love.  He has filled out and put on about 25 pounds, and is free of heartworms.  All Stoney needs now is someone with a big heart and some time to dedicate to give him plenty of love.

Stoney is a very smart and very strong boy.  He loves people and tries to show everyone how much by giving them lots and lots of wet doggie kisses.  He gets along with most other dogs.  Stoney would probably be better suited to a home without small children, simply because of his size and exuberance.  A little training and Stoney would make someone a very happy pet parent.  He already knows how to fetch, and is crate trained.  Won't you give this big boy a chance to show you how wonderful he really is?
